HWA Heavyweight Champion BJ Whitmer has been cleared to wrestle after suffering a minor concussion on Friday Night during his first HWA Heavyweight Title defense against ROH World Champion, Nigel McGuinness.

Whitmer will be heading to Japan from May 15th until June 1st to compete on Pro Wrestling Noah's Northern Navigation '08 Tour.

Whitmer was one of only four American wrestlers chosen for the tour. He will be joined by Matt Cross, Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness.

Everyone at the HWA wishes BJ the best of luck on his overseas tour.

Upon returning to the States, BJ is set to defend his HWA Heavyweight Title for the second time when the HWA returns to Sports Plus in Evendale on Friday Night June 13th for HWA Friday The 13th: Night of the Cruiserweights.
